Now let’s be honest because if you can’t be honest with yourself…than no one else can be.
Have you ever sat down on a park bench and just took 10 minutes to smell the roses? Hey even if it wasn’t roses & you were sipping on a lovely tea. No? Too busy? Now let’s not be ashamed because most of us are far too busy with the past & future that we rarely accept the presence as an actual present.
How do we solve this? Let us free our minds. Now mindfulness by definition is:
1. the quality or state of being conscious or aware of something.
2. a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
Pretty cool huh? I know what some of you are thinking…’I can actually transcend my stress just by stopping and appreciating everything I have now & going out into mother nature’(unless it’s winter time in Canada, I would highly suggest you enjoy this moment inside).
The only way I can stress this is by virtually shouting YES! Stop worrying and love yourself enough to be mindful just a little bit. Until you perfect the art where you are mindful at all times. Then you would have reached true enlightenment.
