How Do You Define Success?

So you know those people who constantly talk about making it…5 years down the road only made it down the road.  Yes, those people!  Let’s talk about them for a second.  Why do you think they didn’t get to where they wanted?

Some would say financial problems, health issues, and other hardships. Truth is if you asked this person what success was they would tell you some generic fallacy intruded upon them by public opinion.  Let me just throw it out there…Success like beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

So let’s refer back to the “Looking Glass Self” aka “The Cooley Theory”…

You know the one created by Charles Cooley:

“I am not who you think I am; I am not who I think I am; I am who I think you think I am ”

Gosh!  Do I ever love that quote.  It is the truth of self-perception. We let society dictate what our success should look like.  Success is what is in your heart.  So this is where we enter the Anahata Chakra; the Heart Chakra.  There are many yoga positions to open the heart but nothing works better than self-reflection…breathe in…and release.

Yesterday we learned from opening our Solar Plexus that we must let go of preexisting notions & live in the moment.  Let nothing guide you into today but your morals.  Would that not be beautiful?  That my friends is truly appreciating our lives, once again namaste my loves!
